Where are the best places to air seal?

A few gaps and cracks around your home may seem insignificant, but the truth is, all those small spaces add up. All together, they are equivalent to leaving a window open all year long. 

Spots near windows and doors may be the easiest to spot, but don’t forget about holes hidden in attics, basements and crawl spaces, along with penetrations in ceilings and floors for electrical wires, plumbing, ducts, chimneys, flue pipes and recessed lights. 

Sealing these hidden spots in the upper and lower areas of your home are usually the greatest opportunities for energy savings.
