What does it mean if an appliance has an ENERGY STAR label?
If an appliance has an
ENERGY STAR label (it’s usually a small blue sticker), it means it has met the energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Products with the ENERGY STAR label can help you identify high-efficiency models quickly. Some higher efficiency appliances may cost more at the outset to purchase but will save you more money over time on your energy bill and decrease your carbon footprint.
