If you’ve ever walked around an appliance, electronics or home improvement store, you’ve probably noticed a yellow label attached to different home appliances and electronics.
This yellow label, or the
EnergyGuide label, breaks down how much energy an appliance uses and compares it to the energy use of similar appliances. The label also gives an estimate of the appliance’s annual energy cost, based on typical use and a national average energy price.
